Message from the Chair of the Board, Mark Anderson:
I am honoured to have an opportunity to work with Precious Minds to provide service and support to the residents located in the northern communities of Durham Region. First of all, I would like to thank my predecessor and one of the founding members, Bonnie Noble, for her dedication and guidance. The founders, current Board members, staff and volunteers at Precious Minds must be commended for their vision and tireless work over the past many years. I look forward to working with the organization and the members of the community to ensure the mandate of the organization helps families and individuals with developmental challenges meet their highest potential in our community.
Our founders were entrusted with the initial idea and vision of Precious Minds. Elisabeth Graham provided leadership as the Executive Director until June 2009 and Sharon Simmonds was Chair of the Board until 2011 and then Executive Director until 2013.
